Technical info
Crampa πU is an innovative technology for producing dual-textured holds and macros. A high-quality polyurethane developed specifically for the climbing industry is used as the base.
The colour is embedded directly into the casting and thus eliminates the need to use paint and varnish, which can be damaged in use. The grip surface is made of aluminium oxide and epoxy resin, making it extremely durable. It is gentle on the skin and capable of withstanding years of heavy use.
Crampa πU combines the advantages of polyurethane such as flexibility and strength with the durability and quality of the added grip surface.
The Crampa πE product line features holds and macros created using our unique technology.
Each polyester cast is reinforced with a chopped fibreglass mat. The added grip texture is the same as Crampa πU.
This innovative approach makes it easier to insert bolts and screws, reduces the production costs, and shortens manufacturing deadlines.
Fixation
Our holds and macros come in three fixation options:
Single M10 Bolt Fixing
This option includes a single M10 bolt as well as an additional hole for a screw to prevent the hold from rotating.
Screws-Only Fixing
This option relies solely on screws for attachment.
Combination Option
You have the choice to fix the hold using either an M10 bolt or screws only.
Screws
All holds and macros are equipped with stainless steel inserts for the screws, which helps prevent damage to the holds and ensures a long lifespan for the product.
We recommend using screws that are either 4.5 mm or 5 mm thick, with no ribs on the backside of the screw head, to avoid causing damage.
Bolts
The holds and macros featuring bolt-fixing option are also equipped with a galvanized steel insert.
This insert absorbs and distributes the force exerted by the bolt during tightening, preventing damage to the hold. The galvanized steel insert is compatible with both countersunk and socket head bolts.
The sizes of the bolts are specified in the description of the corresponding set.
Color
We use the RAL colour chart for our products.
Due to the different technologies employed in production, there may be slight variations in colour between different grip types, even if they share the same RAL number.
The final appearance of these colours is influenced by the specific technologies and materials used during production.
Cleaning
We recommend cleaning the volumes with cold water or a jet wash.
Please avoid using hot water, detergents, or steam jets, as these can affect the friction and original colour brightness of the holds and macros.
